Empower your Audience

presentation skills

Presenting with Impact and Flow

This is for anyone who would like to use techniques and perspectives from the world of theatre and storytelling to create presentations that empower their audience to take action rather than delivering a list of information for people to listen to.

Why is a presentation so useful?

Because there is an AUDIENCE!

  • An attentive, at least for the first 90 seconds, group of people who have agreed to give you the opportunity to present to them.
  • An opportunity for you to build trust, share insights and perceptions, exchange ideas in your own personal way and get buy-in, with not just one person at a time but a whole group!
  • A group that can be more easily motivated and convinced because of the power of the group mindset that you can create with your audience.
  • It’s live! You can entertain, impact, feel the pulse, read the reaction and check in with and adapt to your audience.

but

  • The expectation of the audience can create stress and nerves as we may feel judged and analysed. Standing up and speaking in public is still the second most feared situation in the EU after death.
  • It’s not a natural everyday situation, so how should it be done? How can you capture the attention of your audience, keep them glued to your presentation? How should you behave? What should you say and in what order?
  • Preparation can be long and frustrating. Once you have created your great content and slides, how do you let go of it so you can really engage the audience with your delivery?
